Cut the Crop News, March 2008

Hi everyone! Well I just got back from a vacation to Disneyworld and boy was it fun but exhausting at the same time. In the next several months you will see many and I mean MANY layouts and projects from our trip. I have over 400 pictures that I took on our one week long vacation. I cannot wait to get going and get those memories scrapped. Disney is a great place and you just can’t have a bad time, after all it is the “Happiest Place on Earth”.

Talking about happy……Chatter of the Month Winner was Teresa Matz with a whopping 1133 posts, congratulations Teresa. Do you have carpotunnel yet? Next chatter of the month contest will start March 15th and run until April 14th. On March 15th please send me your starting post # so I can keep track. Round 3 of the kit Challenge starts on March 1, 2008. Please post the name of the kit or kits you will be using for the final round on the message board.
2 month Sketch Contest winner will be announced on the MB by the 3rd. Get ready for a NEW round starting March 1st. This is a two month contest, and after the two months and you have submitted your points for each round to Jennifer a winner is announced. Details on the MB. In February I challenged all of you who purchased a monthly kit to take the Wordbloom Mini album from the kit and alter it anyway you wanted to, we had some great entries and it is so much fun to see all the different looks people come up with. These are fun little albums.

And the contest winner is Stephanie. This is her entry, isn’t it great?

Making Memories magazine has a great feature in it about different techniques, well I thought why not make a contest out it on the MB and see what the interest was, well it was a very popular contest and people want to see this as a regular feature/contest on Cut the Crop’s MB. Our first winner was iscrap (Kelly) and she won a cute jar filled with buttons of all kinds.

This month’s magazine challenge is starting on March 2nd. Due date is March 16th. Upload you creations to your personal gallery and link back to the correct forum so we can all take a look. MB members will VOTE for their favorite one. Voting will start on March 17th and end on March 20th. Anyone can join this Challenge. Details are on the MB under the Contest forum. Winner will receive this cute jar full of different Ribbons. winner will be announced on the MB on the 21st.

Our In the Spotlight contest has an update to the rules….Instead of you sending in a layout to us we will now be picking ONE creation each month from the gallery uploads for that month. Winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to Cut the Crop. Each month the winner will be announced in the NEWSLETTER and be featured in our gallery album called “in the spotlight”.

Save the date and join us on March 29 & 30th for a fun filled weekend CROP. A class will be taught by Trish and it will be (hint) CLEARLY fantastic and not to miss. Rebecca will host a fun class in the chat room and Jennifer will be hosting BINGO & the White Elephant game in the chat room. I will post supply lists for all the challenges by the 18th (on the message board) so everyone has a chance to get supplies together and join the fun. We will all meet in the chat room for some active conversation, bingo and games on both Saturday and Sunday. Specific time will be posted on the MB. Of course we will have prizes, early bird special SALES (28th) and ongoing sales in the store during the entire crop event.
